Designing a Good Voice Prompt

Prompts are the single most important lever in Nimrobo.

Recommended Prompt Structure

  • Goal – what information you want
  • Role – who the agent is
  • Behavior – how to ask questions
  • Constraints – what to avoid

Example Structure

Goal: Understand the user’s core pain points. Role: An experienced user researcher. Behavior: Ask short, open-ended questions and probe deeply. Constraints: Do not explain solutions or give advice.

Prompt Guidelines

  • One question at a time
  • Prefer “why” and “how”
  • Probe vague answers
  • Stay neutral and non-judgmental
  • Avoid scripting every question. Let the agent adapt based on responses.
